Orlando is the most popular destination for families during Spring Break-- so it's fortunate indeed that dates for Spring Break vary in different parts of the US and Canada. Just imagine what line-ups would be like at Disney World, if every school, everywhere, closed its doors the same week!
Typically, Spring Break means ten days off school, in mid-March to mid-April.
In addition to all the usual fun:
- sports fans can take in basketball, baseball, golf, ice-skating, or maybe the cycling Festival of Speed
- The Epcot theme park at Disney World has its Annual International Flower & Garden Festival
- Universal Studios has Mardi Gras Weekends with big parade on Saturday night
Check the Family Spring Break section at OrlandoInfo (the site of the Orlando Convention and Visitors' Bureau.) "Family Spring Break Packages" can be booked online. Or call 1-866-MYORLANDO (696-7526).
